MBS croupier charged with embezzling $36,000 of cash chips

A croupier was charged on Monday with two counts of misappropriating a total of $36,000 of cash chips at the Marina Bay Sands casino.

Mervyn Goh Jie Juin, 31, is said to have dishonestly converted for his own use chips amounting to $21,000 between February and April last year.

Then, on Feb 11 this year, he allegedly misappropriated $15,000 of chips.

The court heard that police are conducting further investigations. The case will be heard again on Feb 27.
