A senior sales and marketing executive who recorded upskirt videos of two women in a supermarket was jailed for four weeks on Wednesday.

Leon Liang Yiwei, 25, who pleaded guilty to one of two charges, had placed his mobile phone in a shopping basket to record an unknown Caucasian woman followed by a 26-year-old woman at The Market Place in Paragon shopping centre on April 12 this year.

The court heard that he was shopping for groceries at the supermarket that evening when he saw a Caucasian woman in a green skirt and found her attractive.

He activated the video recording mode on his phone and placed it inside the shopping basket with the in-built camera lens facing upwards.

He walked close to the woman from behind and held his shopping basket underneath her skirt for about two seconds before walking away.

Ten minutes later, he spotted the 26-year-old victim in a navy coloured dress. He then recorded an upskirt video of her as well in the same manner.

He took his belongings from the shopping basket and left.

But he was stopped by a loss prevention officer who had been observing him. The police were called.

Police found an upskirt video of the victim capturing foootage of her thighs and underwear on his mobile phone.
Liang could have been jailed for up to one year and/or fined for insulting the modesty of a woman.

Serial Molester Teo Koon Tean, 57, was sentenced to eight months in jail on Thursday for molesting a 10 year old boy who lived near him.
Teo was drinking beer at the void deck when he had seen the young boy playing with his mobile phone nearby.
Teo sat next to the boy and complimented him telling the 10 year old that he was "cute and handsome".
Teo then proceeded to touch the young boy's cheek but the boy ignored him.
Following that, Teo started to rub the boy's thighs despite the boy trying to push his hands away.
The boy told his family about the incident and they later made a police report when they saw Teo loitering around the void deck again.
The incident occurred at around 4:30pm on July 18 this year at a block of flats in Yishun. The man could have been caned but he avoided this because of his age.

This is not the first time the 57 year old was convicted of molest. In 2004 he was also jailed 15 months and given 9 strokes of the cane for molesting a 13 year old boy.
The maximum penalty for outraging the modesty of someone under 14 is 5 years jail, caning and a fine.

Abdul Rahim Abubakar, 30, was sentenced to 10 months in jail today for getting a 14 year old girl to give him a blowjob.
The offence occurred in February 2012 when he got a hold of the minor's phone number through a mutual acquaintance and offered to pay her $60 in return for sexual services.
The girl agreed and went to meet him at Telok Blangah Drive where they met and went up to a Rahim's friends flat. The girl had met him after school and was still in her school uniform.
Rahim then gave the girl $40 to give him a blow job. She complied. After the act, the Rahim asked for $20 back and promised to give it to her another day.
She returned him $20 and then left the flat and went home with $20.

Rahim was 13 years older than the minor and while it had been consensual, it is illegal to have sexual relations with anyone under 16. It is also illegal to have paid sex with anyone under 18.
The prosecutor had pressed for a 12 months jail term as the minor, who cannot be named, was only 14 years old and Rahim was almost twice her age.
The maximum sentence for having sex with a minor is 10 years in jail, a fine or both.

Muhammad Qamarul Arifin Sa'adon, 23, was sentenced to two months in jail and three strokes of the cane today after pleading guilty to vandalism outside Sunshine Plaza.
He and four others aged between 21 and 27, had acted together to spray 'anonymous' slogans on the pavement on November 5th last year.
They had written "We are one, We are Legion, Expect Us" on the pavement outside Sunshine Plaza in black spray paint that they had bought from Mustafa Centre shortly prior to the offence.
The five friends had been discussing the Hacktivist group anonymous while at a bus stop outside Plaza Singapura and they wanted to support the group's fight against the Singapore Government.
They had planned to spray the Anonymous slogan that day.
Qamarul wrote the slogan on the ground while his friends kept a look out.
The other four men were also charged with vandalism but they are yet to be sentenced.

They are also believed the be behind a string of vandalism cases all reported on the same day at Prinsep Link Orchard Link, Tampines and Woodlands.
The maximum sentence for a charge of vandalism for first time offenders is up to three years in jail, a $2000 fine and a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 8 strokes of the cane

Man jailed for vandalism, theft, underage sex

Freelance disc jockey Danial Ryan Salleh, 26, had pleaded guilty to vandalising a pillar of Sunshine Plaza; two counts of theft; sex with a minor; and grievously hurting a taxi driver.

The ringleader in the Prinsep Link vandalism case was sentenced to a total of 24 months' jail and three strokes of the cane yesterday.

Freelance disc jockey Danial Ryan Salleh, 26, had pleaded guilty to vandalising a pillar of Sunshine Plaza; two counts of theft; sex with a minor; and grievously hurting a taxi driver.

Ten other charges were considered during his sentencing.

Two of his accomplices - Muhammad Qamarul Arifin Sa'adon, 23, and Muhammad Fadzly Aziz, 22 - were each sentenced to two months' jail and three strokes in August for vandalism.

The court heard that the group had been outside a bus stop in Orchard Road after a movie on Nov 4, 2013, when Danial told them of a call he had received from someone claiming to be an assistant to the leader of hacker group Anonymous.

The caller from Switzerland told him to get a group to spray the words "We Are One. We Are Legion. We Will Never Forgive. We Will Never Forget. Expect Us". This was supposedly in support of the hacker group's fight against the Government.

The group bought two cans of indelible paint from Mustafa Centre. As they passed Sunshine Plaza at about 4am, Danial used black paint to write graffiti on the pillar. Qamarul, Fadzly and Muhammad Fitri Abu Kasim, 25, acted as lookouts. Fitri was later given a 12-month conditional warning.

In the theft cases, Danial had stolen a 12-year-old student's haversack, containing a laptop worth $700, at Costa Sands Resort in June with his accomplice; and an earpiece worth $150 from Million Tech at Sim Lim Square later that month.

The court heard he also had unprotected sex with a 15-year-old girl he had met on social media platform Twitter in mid-November 2013.

On March 19 last year, he kicked the door and wing mirror of a taxi when the driver, Ng Cheng Keong, 61, refused to take him and four other passengers along Sims Avenue.

When Mr Ng told him to stop and tried to call the police, Danial punched him once in his face and grabbed his phone.

When the cabby exited to retrieve his mobile phone, Danial punched him again. Mr Ng suffered facial fractures.

The court backdated Danial's sentence to July 1. He also has convictions for cheating, vehicle theft, drug possession and perverting justice.
