Kenny Bee later realised the potential backlash form being associated with Namewee and promptly issued a statement to distance himself from the incident. He stated, "The misunderstanding arose from my oversight in taking a photo with a certain individual. I was completely unaware of this person’s background and past inappropriate behaviour. Had I known about his stance earlier, I would not have had any interaction whatsoever." Notably, the statement avoided mentioning Namewee by name.

I get that people change their stance fast when public pressure hits, but deleting a post doesn’t automatically fix the damage. If anything, the drama just gets screenshotted and shared even more. It’s like putting something on a digital picture frame in your living room and then trying to pretend no one saw it after guests have left—it’s already out there.
