SINGAPORE: Police have arrested three Columbians and a Peruvian, aged between 37 and 48 years old, suspected of stealing pearls worth $22,000 from a jewellery exhibition.

The owners, who took part in the exhibition at Marina Bay Sands (MBS), were loading their exhibits into their vehicle on Sunday when they realised the pearls missing.

From CCTV footage obtained from MBS, police were able to identify the suspects within 28 hours.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Daniel Tan Sin Heng, Commander of Central Police Division, said the CCTV has helped the police to identify the suspects, and tracked then down after they committed the act.

Police arrested the suspects at Sims Drive on Monday.

A black bag containing the stolen pearls was found in their possession in the hotel they were staying in.

Investigations against the suspects are still ongoing.

Chey! It's only some silly pearls worth $22k.

It's not some priceless crown jewels.

Well done anyway SPF!

Please continue to do some real police work instead of perfecting your confession extraction skills. All that nonsensical paperwork does not do anyone any decent good.

Nothing like some robust sharp witted investigations and operational work!!
