SINGAPORE - Visitors who drive to Marina Bay Sands will now see lower parking rates.
A spokesperson for the Marina Bay Sands attributed the reduction in rates to increased availability of parking spaces.
Drivers can now self-park at Marina Bay Sands for $6 in the first hour, and S$1 for every subsequent 30 minutes, up to a maximum of S$26 per day.
These rates are down from a previous $8 for the first hour, and $2 every half hour, up to a maximum of $28 in a day.
Valet parking
Overall, valet-parking will be cheaper as well.
From Monday to Sunday 7a to 7pm, including public holidays, each hour will cost only $12 as opposed to the initial $18 for the first hour.
Subsequently $1 is charged for every 30-minute block, down from $2, for a maximum of $26.
Marina Bay Sands have also introduced a new fixed parking charge from 7pm to 7am. Self-parking and valet-parking will cost $6 and $12 respectively.
The reduction in rates comes on the back of a ban on free shuttle services to the two intergrated resorts.
