SINGAPORE – The body of a 62-year-old man who is suspected to have drowned was found in the waters off East Coast Park in the afternoon on July 12.

In response to queries from The Straits Times, the police said they received a call for assistance at 3pm. The man’s body was retrieved from the sea, and a paramedic from the Singapore Civil Defence Force declared him dead.

Early investigations do not suggest foul play, the police said, and investigations are ongoing.

MERSING - Two men including one Singaporean drowned after being swept away by strong currents while swimming near Pulau Mawar in Endau on the east coast of Johor.

The incident, which occurred at around 2.37pm on April 7, involved three men, said the local fire department.

SINGAPORE - The body of a boy was recovered from the waters off East Coast Park on Aug 30.

The police said they were alerted at 9.55pm, and on arrival, found the boy floating in the sea.

He was brought ashore by Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers and pronounced dead at the scene.

SINGAPORE - Police are investigating after the body of a 47-year-old man was found on the shoreline of Pasir Ris Park on March 22.

Preliminary investigations do not suggest foul play, they said.

SINGAPORE – One man was suspected to have drowned in the waters off East Coast Park, while another person was found alive 50m from the shore at the weekend.

The police said they were alerted to a case of suspected drowning on Dec 10 at about 7.10pm, and that the body of a 20-year-old man was retrieved from the waters on Dec 11.

SINGAPORE - The body of a 49-year-old woman was found in the sea off East Coast Park early on Friday.

Police said they were alerted to a case of suspected drowning near carpark C3 at 5.45am.

The woman’s body was retrieved from the waters and she was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic from the Singapore Civil Defence Force.

SINGAPORE - The body of a 24-year-old man who is suspected to have drowned at sea near East Coast Park turned up on Saturday (Aug 27) morning.
In response to queries from The Straits Times, the Singapore Civil Defence Force said it received a call at 7am for a water rescue at 920 East Coast Park, near Carpark C1.
That is the address of Parkland Green, a recreational area with an open lawn near the East Coast Park White Jetty.
 
The significance of dying while frolicking in water is to spare the pharma's blushes as they cause of death can be easily masked. If they botai bochi died on dry land, then cham liao as pharma will tio blamed.​

My dad and I were one of these no brainer once
 
Thanks to the Thomson-East Coast MRT line, it's now so much more convenient to go to those places. :thumbsup:
