SINGAPORE - A former security manager who helped a delivery driver siphon $500,000 from the latter's employer was jailed for 12 months on Friday.
Malaysian Suthagar Rajamoney, 27, admitted intentionally aiding delivery driver Suleiman Latiff to misappropriate RM800,000 (S$306,640) and $200,000 along Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) on Jan 29 this year.
Suleiman, 28, whose case is pending, was working for JBS Global, a Malaysian moneychanger. He was tasked to go to Singapore to collect cash from another staff member and deliver it to specified moneychangers in Singapore.
Suthagar had transported a man called Abdul Wahid Zainudin on his motorcycle from Woodlands to BKE where the latter, a 32-year-old Malaysian, received the $506,640 from Suleiman.
