Man pleads guilty to behaving in a disorderly manner and damaging police car
A 29-year-old man today pleaded guilty to behaving in a disorderly manner and damaging a police car in March this year.
Soh Chee Wei had been arrested for disorderly behaviour at a carpark at Bird Park Drive in the early hours of 6 March by two police officers, who had been performing a roadblock nearby.
Soh had been involved in an argument and continued to behave in an aggressive manner, despite multiple warnings from the police officer.
After Soh was arrested, he was placed in a Police Fast Response car.
He then began shouting and kicking the right rear passenger seat window of the car multiple times causing the window to shatter.
The window was also partially dislodged from the door.
The damage to the car amounted to $448.
Soh has a history of previous convictions which includes offences such as theft, housebreaking, and rioting.
The case has been adjourned to 2 August for the court to hear Soh's mitigation, and him to be sentenced.
