By Alvina Soh | Posted: 15 April 2011 1702 hrs

SINGAPORE : A man has been charged with three counts of under-reporting S$1,457,059 in net profits from Full Skil Wire Cut Services between Year of Assessment 2000 and 2002.

In the same period, 54-year-old Henry Ng Choon Tat allegedly evaded S$357,354.65 in taxes.

He allegedly made false entries in his income tax returns.

If convicted, Ng will have to pay three times the amount of under-declared tax.

He can also be fined up to S$10,000 or jailed up to three years or both.

He will back in court on April 29.

Actually I know how he feels. Worked so hard to make 1.45m have to hand over 357k in taxes. That's almost 25%. Anyone also dulan. But he should have taken measure to reduce his taxes.
