A man who offered "$2 million" or "any amount of money" to two police officers to be let off after he was arrested for disorderly behaviour, is now under investigation by the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB).
The 45-year-old, who was picked up for disorderly behaviour on Feb 6 at 2.05am, was being processed by Senior Staff Sergeant Mohammed Faizal Ismail and Sergeant Tan Tuan Hock from Tanglin Police Division.
"During the admission process, the man offered Senior Staff Sgt Mohammed Faizal any amount of money to release him, but was rejected by the officer immediately," said the police yesterday.
"Undeterred, the man made a second bribery attempt by offering Sgt Tan $2million to release him."
Sgt Tan also rejected the bribery attempt.
