Man arrested for suspected involvement in void deck fire

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 53-year-old man for suspected involvement in a case of mischief by fire at the void deck of a block along Yuan Ching Road.

On May 19, a 31-year-old member of the public reported to the Police that someone had set fire to a rubbish bin.

As a result of the fire, the rubbish bin was completely burnt and the ceiling of a sheltered walkway was blackened.

The suspect was arrested on Monday in the vicinity of Teban Gardens Road at about 4pm.
