Man arrested for stealing mobile phone

Crime Strike Force (CSF) officers from Clementi Neighbourhood Police Centre have arrested a 40-year-old man for theft.
On Jan 1, at about 4.35pm, police was informed by a staff member of a fishing accessories shop that his mobile phone had been stolen at Blk 713 Clementi West Street 2.
The suspect was eventually arrested on Jan 2 in the vicinity of Clementi West Street 2.
The officers checked on the 40-year-old man and found amongst others, the stolen phone.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect is believed to have committed other similar offences.
If found guilty, the man faces up to seven years' jail and a fine.
