SINGAPORE - The police arrested a man who allegedly broke into a handphone shop in a shopping centre in Rivervale Drive.
In the morning of April 30, the glass door of the shop was found smashed and $2,000 worth of handphones were missing from the shop.
The suspect was arrested in the Rivervale vicinity on May 21.
He will be charged in court on May 22, and faces up to 14 years in jail if found guilty.
The police urge shopowners to install alarms, CCTVs and sturdy doors and locks in their premises to deter and prevent potential criminals from targeting their shops.
