Published on Dec 14, 2012

Police officers at the OCBC automated teller machine (ATM) which was found with its external door open on 10 Dec 2012. The ATM, located at Block 283 in Bukit Batok Avenue 3, had been damaged during a break-in attempt the previous night. However, nothing was stolen as the safe where the money was kept was highly reinforced. A security camera had also been covered with tape, in an attempt to prevent it from recording the robbery attempt. However, the thief had missed out on other cameras inside the ATM, leaving them free to record his image.
