Man arrested for a alcohol shop theft

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 32-year-old male Singaporean who is believed to be involved in a series of cases whereby alcoholic beverages valued at over S$800 were stolen from a number of different locations.
Several reports of such occurrences were noted to have taken place in the Jurong West area from late January to early February this year.
A team of officers from Jurong Police Division was assembled to work on the case. Based on extensive enquiries and meticulous investigations, the officers managed to ascertain the identity of the suspect, and arrested him on 4th February 2013 at around 4pm, in the vicinity of Dover Road.
Thus far, the suspect is known to have committed at least 4 such offences in the Jurong West area.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 6th February 2013 for the offence of Theft in Dwelling, under Section 380 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, for which the suspect may be sentenced to a maximum jail term of seven years and shall also be liable to a fine.
Commander of Jurong Police Division, Deputy Assistant Commissioner of Police Wilson Lim, commended his officers for their tenacity and good investigative work which led to the swift arrest of the suspect.
