STOMPer Steven's mother was slashed on the leg while she was walking back to her house near Block 230 in Bukit Batok. The same man who attacked Steven's mother also cut two other women in the same area.

According to a New Paper report, 13-year-old Huzairie Hisham witnessed the attacker being arrested by police officers at the walkway connecting the bus stop to the void deck of Block 225, Bukit Batok Central.

A police spokesperson said a 49-year-old man was arrested for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapon.

The man is believed to have slashed three women with a paper cutter at Block 225, Bukit Batok Central, before he was arrested.

Huzairie said there were two women, who looked to be in their 20s, who were bleeding. One of the women had a cut on her left arm, and the other had a cut on the right leg. STOMPer Steven's mother was the third woman who was slashed

The women were not severely injured and were not taken to the hospital.

A woman, who wanted to be known only as Madam Yeo said she heard the attacker was mentally challenged, and "goes around like a rag-and-bone man, collecting cans and things that people throw away."
