SINGAPORE: A man who had snatched the purse of a 33-year-old woman in Hougang on Thursday afternoon was arrested within three hours.
He had made off with the purse containing S$100 in cash and valuables from the woman whom he had followed into a lift at Blk 124 Hougang Ave 1.
The suspect will be charged in Court on Saturday.
If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to seven years and can also be caned. - CNA/vm
