Man accused of molesting girl

A 28-YEAR-OLD man was charged in court on Friday with molesting a seven-year-old girl at a swimming pool.
Li He Lai allegedly threatened and demanded that the girl touch his private parts at a swimming pool in the Tiong Bahru area on two occasions in October.
The third charge accuses him of molesting the girl at the same pool on Dec 20 when he allegedly touched her over her swimming costume.
Li is also said to have 18 obscene VCDs, eight jackets of VCD with obscene covers and five obscene VCD covers at a flat in Ang Mo Kio on Thursday.
He was remanded until Jan 7 for psychiatric assessment.
If convicted of outrage of modesty, he can be jailed for up to five years or fined or caned or received any combined punishment on each charge.
