Man, 42, arrested for theft from vehicles in Jurong

Police have arrested a 42-year-old man believed to be responsible for several cases of theft from vehicles reported in Jurong between March and April 2015.
Following the reports lodged, officers from Jurong Police Division conducted extensive ground enquiries and follow-up investigations. The man was subsequently arrested on April 8, 2015 along Boon Lay Drive.
The man will be charged in court tomorrow for the offence of Theft from Vehicle under Section 379 of the Penal Code. If convicted, he faces a punishment of imprisonment for a term of up to 3 years and shall also be liable to a fine, or both.
