Indeed, commercial and investment failures in the Singapore government should not be derided. In fact, we should encourage more risk taking activities amongst our best and brightest to help them learn from their experience. It is our great tolerance for failures that make me proud to call myself singaporean on this very special day.

Paying some people millions to invest billions of other people's monies and not have to account for millions in losses is NOT risk taking. It's the best job in the world.
