sometimes peaceful, sometimes pissful, depending on traffic at causeway, which in my opinion, is not entirely malaysia's fault. :p

once you get pass the jam at jb, folks are generally less materialistic, more down to earth and humble. rather than the place, it's the people that define the place.

RUN got cheated by KL airport taxi twice. Paid over RM100 drove him to horland, RUN gave him a map, driver said he don't read map. China taxi also headache, came across fake meters or those who don't want to use meters. As a foreigner travelling to these places for work, always feel very tensed cos need to be alert.

In places like Malaysia you have to know how to haggle & you can always walk away if you think the fare is unreasonable. While in Spore the high fares is formalised & there is no alternatives or wiggle room.

matter of fact, this month i visited, kota tinggi, muar, batu pahat and segamat mostly overnite.
next week will be mersing. these place were last visited more than 20 years ago,
the scenarios were like geylang or serangoon in the past, of course with modern amenities like karaoke in food centre.......
by bus.......

You visited KT, Muar, Batu Paht and Segamat and stayed overnite, I can understand as these places have entertainment that can bring you to high heaven. What the hel do you wanna go Mersing for? It is such a God-forsaken place that you will definitely be bored to death.... Think sochi2014 will agree...SUCH A GOD-FORSAKEN place....
