Malaysia hikes diesel prices by 50%, still among the lowest in the world.

Will there be protests because Sabah, Sarawak and Labaun not affected by the hike?
Will there be diesel smuggling/arbitration between East and West Malaysia?

Main protests would be the cheapo Singaporeans making gst saving trips to JB

the elephant in the room is the highly subsidised Ron 95. Until the government dares to touch it...Muttland will continue to swim in debt.

The recent 50% diesel price hike in Malaysia could spark protests, especially given the impact on daily expenses and transportation costs. Higher fuel prices often lead to increased living costs, which might frustrate many. Using Competitor Price Tracking & Monitoring software, like Priceva, can offer some relief by providing automated tracking, price change notifications, and a single interface for managing metrics. Comprehensive analytics and AI-based repricing tools can help businesses identify market opportunities and devise optimal pricing strategies to stay competitive amidst rising costs.
