Malaysia has been giving away citizenships in Sabah

According ti Aljazeera the Malaysian gov't under Mathahir has been secretly giving away citizenship to muslim filipinos in Sabah to tip the balance of voters in Sabah

How despicable & it could only happen in a third world like Malaysia

Just as despicable is the PAP government which is giving citizenship away in loads ...they hope to ensure that there are sufficient new citizen votes to prevent a win by the Opposition.

This is nothing new with the PAP, they just go around copying what other countries are doing. If you do this during an exam it would be called cheating when the PAP does it, it called "helicopter" vision & we are paying them millions.

The Malaysians had to do it secretly otherwise it would become an issue but in Spore it is being sold as getting importing talents

I wonder if it is a case of LKY copying Mahathir or Mahathir copying LKY

It had been done, 28 years ago...when the company I worked for, went to JB & KL, to source for clerks, data typists etc. promising them sponsorship for PR if they stay for 3 years here without breaking the contract..giving them housing allowances & other benefits..while the company union is fighting the management for better terms in the renewal of the collective agreement & restoration of pay increase & bonus after biting the bullet during the recession. The main union, just turn a blind eye to this..citing the same mantra they do today.." the company will just pack & move overseas...blah, blah, blah"...sound familiar?
