The package includes a broad range of items, all to be furnished by the USAF, says the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) in a statement. The package will be sold under the auspices of the US government's foreign military sales programme.
Items listed included laser guided bombs, target drones, systems support, medical support, airlift, air refuelling, and other items. The equipment involved will be drawn from US stocks.
Singapore operates a training detachment of Boeing F-15SG fighters at Idaho's Mountain Home air base.
"This potential sale will continue to improve Singapore’s ability to develop mission-ready and experienced pilots to support its F-15 aircraft inventory," says the DSCA.
"The well-established pilot proficiency training program at Mountain Home Air Force Base will support professional interaction and enhance operational interoperability with U.S. Forces. Singapore will have no difficulty absorbing this equipment and support into its armed forces."
