Sometimes we have to ask ourselves –“ Can we do something about this situation? “
If the answer is yes, there is no need to worry, we act !
You know, keeping the medicine in a drawer without taking it doesn’t cure the illness !
If the answer is no , worrying and talking about it is useless, relax and accept the situation !
When bad people try to harm you , they allow negative karma to ripen !
Hougang by-election is a negative karma being ripen !
Take the situation as a challenge to help you grow !
There is one good religious teaching---enemies are kinder to you than the God you believe !
Those who try to harm you give an opportunity to practice patience and wisdom ---And Patience is a virtue !
Those try to harm you are angry people, jealous people and they become objects of compassion, not your enemy !
What kind of people are we if we find happiness in vengefully inflicting misery on others ?
And holding grudges serves no productive purpose !
Karma is boomerang , it comes back to you if you throw on others !
Many know Honorable WP MPs and NCMPS are trying very hard at the parliament so do many others are also talking either , but no one listening ! The headlines are not for the best speakers and good proposals !
One thing is so very sick , why do people in parliament worry about copying speeches from bloggers, the parliament should be more concerned about the aspects of the speeches that serve the people and the country right !
Workers Party is a hope to thousands and thousands of voters , you may also form Govt one day, nothing is impossible if the mindset is positive ! Positive qualities will bring happiness !
The Hougang By-election is not about defending the seat or beating the PAP contender !
If the contest is based on self-centredness, it only breeds more anger and jealousy that isn’t productive to the people and country ! In this case, on the moral ground is better enough !
All of us get older every 5 years, if we only have one Aljunied GRC again next GE, we still face the same opera of serving people first ! The frustration continues……
Workers Party must reflect who are the ones who cause strange things to happen in Sinkapore !
We keep telling the oppo parties that PAP is not the enemy , PAP is just the product of the mandate !
Mighty Workers Party faces more problems than other political parties because you are gaining strength ! This is a good sign and not a bad thing becos you will become stronger each time you get out of it !
We hope Workers Party does the right thing, face issues with the voters which PAP dares not face !
Don’t keep Voters in the dark ,bring it out in the open for voters to reflect !
When you face the voters , you will find it all worthwhile ! Only through this wholesome channel, you can then realise the 1/3 seats at the parliament if not holding the whole office !
By-election will have short days to rally, use it right, you win hearts from all corners !
Again, PAP and TV people and newspaper people are not your adversaries, they are victims of selfish-attitude obscured by ignorance , anger and attachment ! If a person nature is harmful and obnoxious, getting angry at him is useless. It would like angry at fire becos it’s nature is to burn !
To try to please everybody means you will please no one , just like the Budget 2012
Voters are not objects of bargain, or cheer-people, or audiences, they too have a s serious responsibility when they vote !
A few issues that Workers Party Should bring out to the voters this by-election are as follows ---
Healthcare and taking care of elderly ----Cause and effect, when you bring in more foreigners to boost population, it is a basic instinct to add hospital beds, add nurses and add doctors ! There is no merit to this issue, it is just a common sense you forget to use if you have not done yet !
Tell the voters that healthcare costs should be reduced instead of talking so much about beds, anyway who wants to be sick right !
Taking care of elderly is not just installing a few handles or bars on the walls, it must range from real subsidized healthcare costs to health-food supplements , painkillers only make the elderly bedridden over time ! The concept must be holistic and not just catered to whitewash !
Public transport ---Ask the voters if public monies are used to construct MRT network , can it be privatized and let only the shareholders benefit ??? Another thing, MRT fares and bus fares can affect daily expenses, it can eat up quite a big part of our earnings very month , if the people holding office can subsidize the so-called private transport operators , why not the Singaporeans ???? In the first place, do you voters agree MRT a public transport must be privatized in this funny pattern ? ???
Defense budget –Sinkapore cannot last out a war ,once it happens, there is no way to recover !
Let’s face it, who is our enemy ? Sinkapore has nothing except HDB flats !
The island needs water and food , damming more small rivers only cause floods and ponding right !
Yes, we can have an effective and lean army but we need not go all out to prepare for a war that will ruin sinkapore forever !
During war, everybody suffers, all we get is the lose-lose situation ! The innocent people will kill the innocent people !
Have we not learnt from 2nd world war ? The Japanese also suffered like hell ! Do we talk about Japanese bayoneting the Sinkaporeans in the 40s to justify the 11 billion a year ?
The world has changed, war will not resolve problems , but pacifism will see Sinkaporeans not getting hungry and thirsty for another 100 years ! This is a simple reality ! You plant sugar cane, you get sugar !
Also, the people holding office want more babies, then we should cut back the NS period to one year so “A” level students and others could ROD earlier , find a job or continue study, and then get fully employed so they can afford to have girlfriends and buy HDB houses. You know one part can earn 1 k to buy 2 room flat, other part can earn another 1 k to provide for the households, dont you think it is a blissful happiness ?
Tell the voters that high defence budget will make life difficult for sinkaporeans, every price will go up to feed this campaign ! Look at the pump price, are you ready for a $3 per litre ???
What price would go up now that the NS men are getting $2 more a day ? $2 more a day a big deal to them right .
We are not saying that sinkapore should cut defence off , this is a childish talk, we are saying a lean and an economical defence is better for sinkapore and our neighbors !
If Defence budget can lower to 5 billion (which is oredi high)and cater for social spending , not only our real subsidized healthcare and public transport and education will benefit, but also the whole sinkaporeans will prosper fairly not to mention if golden period comes along , Swiss-standard living may also evolve right !
Scholarship for Sinkaporean students---“A” level male students need to serve NS , at least 90 % of scholarship should be given to Singaporeans and 10% for overseas students. Of course this must based on merit !
If 100% is based on merit for the world, .01% of prodigy of the world come sinkapore will leave nothing for sinkaporeans students right !
The list is endless, by-election days are short, WP must choose subjects that can move hearts and make voters reflect !
Bring Wisdom and confidence to the voters are the key factors to live the Sinkapore dream !
Dear Honorable WP MPs and NCMPS, the choice is yours, you have to decide you either fight a few angry men or educate the voters this by-election !
Sinkapore badly needs a good alternative govt, WP is the hope, of course it would be an extra bonus if other Oppo parties could win hearts !
Taking ideas from people or from bloggers to speak up for the good of country and sinkaporeans is a good thing to do, after all , successful people learn from successful people to be more successful !
This by-election, come next GE, please do the right thing if first-world parliament and 1/3 seats must materalise to make life real better ! Time waits for no man, time makes people older every five years !
