Mah Bow Tan steps down as SLF chairman

SINGAPORE - Mr Mah Bow Tan is stepping down as chairman of the
Singapore Labour Foundation (SLF) Board, tomorrow, after serving for almost 10 years.
A Ministry of Manpower statement, today, said this is to ensure leadership renewal.
Mr Gan Kim Yong, Minister for Health, will succeed Mr Mah from tomorrow.
MOM said that as the longest serving chairman of the SLF, Mr Mah had made valuable
contributions to the development and growth of the SLF and the labour movement here.
This included investing resources to benefit workers and providing financial support for
lower income workers.
