This is the heart-stopping moment a race car flew through the air and smashed into a ramp before
catching on fire in a stunt that went horribly wrong.
Toomas Heikkinen was making a practice run for the RallyCross event at the X Games in Los Angeles
when he fell short of the jump.
The 21-year-old didn't make the 70-foot gap and smashed his Ford Fiesta rally car into the ramp
It flipped over, falling down the gap and landing on its roof. Bits of the car shot off in all directions and
it caught on fire.
As black smoke billowed from the Fiesta officials and spectators can be heard shouting 'fire, fire!' and
people ran toward it.
Heikkinen was able to drag himself from his damaged vehicle and crawl to safety.
