Last month, our #AMEOs detected 44 active mobility offences and impounded 21 non-compliant devices in various enforcement operations islandwide.

Key offences included:
Using Power-Assisted Bicycles (PABs) with improper registration plates
Riding or keeping non-compliant devices

#Reminder ⚠️ First-time offenders caught using improper or obscured PAB number plates may face fines up to $1,000 and/or 3 months’ jail. Those using non-compliant devices on paths face up to $10,000 fine and/or 6 months’ jail.

An escalation of frivolous fines is expected when the regime is desperate for money. :cool:
 
Those offenders ought to be caned and jailed. Fucking bunch of nuisanse and a danger to pedestrians.
Bicycle is the best. NO battery involved and give you a good amount of exercise that make you fit and healthy and best of all, you will feel young getting a rise in the morning.

I agree. Even though I am old, thanks to cycling I still have morning wood.
 
This is a abuse of power and punishes those who circumvent from draconian taxes and certificates.
