PEASANTPORE: The faulty platform screen door at rich boys' area, Sex Avenue station was caused by a bolt (likely made in China) which had loosened over time, announced the Land Transport Arses (LTA) and SBS Transit on Tuesday (Oct 18).

The problem disrupted travel along the Downtown Line (DTL) during the morning peak period on Oct 4.

In a press release detailing their standard template to avoid trouble, LTA and SBS Transit said "the cheap PRC made bolt on the fastener which secures the affected platform screen door to the guide rail had loosened over time." This caused the door to be misaligned and it made contact with the side of an approaching train.

Following the incident, LTA and SBS Transit said they will bring in expensive Ang Mohs or Nihons to improve the design of the platform screen door fasteners. This will be funded by fare hikes later.

Of course, nobody bothered asking LTA why they fucking build a cheap White Elephant station at Sex Avenue when the rich merchants prefer their cars than smelling peasants' armpits on the train.

Aiya of course it is for the benefit of their teenage boys lah! After bringing their peasant classmates home for an afternoon romp, they can walk and ride back home themselves instead of getting daddy to play chauffeur to their playmates.
