it's not just the view. Queenstown is a great lifestyle choice. There's always loads to do and see no matter what the season.

Great lifestyle choice? Other than winter activities up The Remarkables and Coronet Peak etc, what else to do?

Last visited more than a decade ago. Doubt if there were major changes since then. Still recall the casino at Queenstown. Very, very small. Should be less than 4000 sq ft?

I spent the best part of last year in Queenstown.

The spring/summer months were spent riding the cycling trails and entertaining friends who were visiting.

Autumn and winter are my landscape photography seasons. The scenery is just begging to be captured.

Winter skiing is fun but what I like best is sitting in front of the fireplace with a good book.

There are great restaurants in the Queenstown region too. I have yet to disappoint a guest.

Easter weekend is reserved for http://www.warbirdsoverwanaka.com/

Day-to-day life is stress free and relaxing. Everything is within walking distance. It's a happy town and very safe. The only time there's trouble is when drunk OZs start fighting in the streets at 3 am. By that time, I'm always tucked up in bed.

5500sqm is the size of the section.

In NZ, you can be self sufficient with less than half an acre.

Very nice. My kind of retirement home and definitely something to work for.

Good for you. South is more scenic compared to the north. But I rather be in Auckland or Wellington. I prefer the bigger cities. More happening.

Need not confine yourself to Queenstown. Many other locations in NZ comes with such views. And much cheaper too. Queenstown is a tourist area and homes there are more expensive.

I guess by "Happening" you mean more crowds, more pubs, bigger restaurants, more night life etc. That's great for a short holiday but when you live there, it just doesn't excite after a while.

At the end of the day, life isn't about happening places. It's about a comfortable home that you can enjoy, time with friends and freedom to pursue the hobbies and sports that you enjoy plus most importantly... space to breath.

Queenstown fits the bill for me.

I am happy living in Queenstown sg. :p

I heard that Queenstown Singapore is a "Happening Place" with lots of exciting activities all day long.

Most of my images are embedded. If I don't embed them it's because I would prefer the whole site to be viewed and not just one image.

Its a nice getaway once in a while, but for long term living I prefer the busy city with all of the conveniences of modern life.
