Lost Laptop in Geylang

sorry, it is not lost inside the houses, i parked my car on the roadside... glass kana break, and laptop stole.... there goes my laptop. any lobang on how to find it back?

what is a tracking device or software????

say if i stole a laptop, i willnot, but let say i do, the first i do, is take out hd, and put on PC and delete data permanently write 1 or 0 everywhere and perform a fresh install before selling. so how does this tracking software works?
