Lorry theft : Brothers charged

TWO brothers were charged in court on Tuesday with stealing a lorry at a multi-storey carpark in Woodlands. Sukuthan Anbalagan, 26, and his 20-year-old brother, Anand, are said to have stolen the $35,000 vehicle from Mr Liew Kian Kwong at the carpark at Block 690 Woodlands Drive 75 at about 1am on Monday. The prosecution successfully applied for them to be remanded as they are believed to be involved in a series of similar cases.
If convicted they can be jailed for up to seven years and fined as well as banned from driving. They will be back in court on Feb 2.
