The federal Islamic authority in Malaysia has declared one of former prime minister Lee Kuan Yew's books as haram, or forbidden in Arabic.
Lee Kuan Yew: Hard Truths To Keep Singapore Going has been placed on a list of 15 haram books by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim).
A copy of the list was obtained by The Straits Times on Thursday. It does not state why the books are considered haram.
