The incident in the video, which has been shared across various social media platforms, took place on Feb 26 afternoon according to a statement from Shantou Zhongshan Park Zoo on Feb 28. Investigations found that the incident was caused by a lapse in management as "zoo keepers allowed visitors to enter the isolation area to feed the animals".
