Lil Tay, now 18, launched an OnlyFans account just after midnight on her birthday and claims to have earned over $1 million within three hours. The former child internet star, who previously went viral for her bold persona, returned to the spotlight after a 2023 death hoax and brief disappearance.
Lil Tay, the controversial internet star who first went viral at just 9 years old, has returned to the spotlight in a major way. Shortly after celebrating her 18th birthday on July 29, the influencer, whose real name is Claire Tian, launched an OnlyFans account and claims she made over $1 million within the first few hours. According to a screenshot she posted to her 5.8 million Instagram followers, the alleged earnings were recorded just three hours after going live, with about half of the total coming from subscribers.
“We broke the f--- out of that OnlyFans record,” she wrote in her Instagram caption, alongside the screenshot.
Tay, who says the content was shot at 12:01 AM on her birthday, is no stranger to attention. She first rose to fame in 2018 through bold, profanity-laced videos where she flaunted designer goods and cash, often in collaboration with internet personalities like Bhad Bhabie, Jake Paul, and Diplo. However, her online presence abruptly disappeared less than four months after she first went viral.
In 2023, Tay became the center of a bizarre viral death hoax after a statement on her Instagram claimed she and her older half-brother had died. The news sparked confusion, especially as police and coroner’s offices had no record of such an event. Her father and her mother’s lawyer also couldn’t confirm the claims, further fueling speculation.
The statement was deleted a day later, and Lil Tay made her comeback a month afterward, releasing the music video for “Sucker 4 Green.”
