Let's discuss good vegetarian eating places ~ without passing condescending at meat eaters


Personally, I like the vegetarian food at the Green Dot.

I find people who turn vegetarian then order dish like mock meat, veggie laksa, etc....are hypocrites

It depends whether they are doing for religious or health purpose.

Anyway for those due to religious, suddenly turning from meat eater to pure vegetables eaters, it probably needs lots of determination and a big change. So they still go for some "mock meat" and get the taste, eg, sweet and sour pork etc. They taste the sweet and sour taste without eating real meat. Or the taste of the chicken rice.

Anyway, I am not them, so I can't speak for them. I wouldn't want to pass my judgement as it is usually easier said that done.

For me, I have poor preference for those vegetarian meat. When I go on vegetarian, I prefer simple vegetable, mushroom and soup. Simple and nice.

If I want to eat meat, I just eat the real stuff.
