He shut the Dragon River Mouth.

He created fear for his people to live with and now he has to live his remaining years in fear of the Marina Barrage Haunt.

No enginneering feat is able to remove this heavenly fear he self created.

Lee Kill You's greatest regret is that he never declare himself emperor...................and invade M'sia................

He broke the dragon's spine by building the east west MRT line.

Now working on 50% its original design and water still back flow inland.
Was the money well spent?

To much building are the problem. Now all the earth surface in Singapore are path with cement. Soil is also act like sponge can absorb the water. Now with most of the surface are path. Then water have to find a way to flow away. All rain a water will divert from road, building. walking path to drain/lower area. since the water cannot be absorb by natural soil.
So the solution is how to divert the water? We need plan and proper contruction of drain not anyhow built longkang.
Not to blame the nature like Yaakop and now V Bala. They tai chi the problem away. Talk this and that statitic that is a record of rain water. KNN if I'm the reporter will slam them upside down.
Maybe gov should consider all building to have rain water collection tank on top of the building they can use to flush toilet/watering the plant. This will reduce the water flow to drain when heavy rain. Also will cut water bill for the building owner. Imagine if only 50% of the building have rain water collection hove much water can be diverted to drain when heavy rain?
Maybe gov should change the law within 5 year all building in Singapore (with roof area more than 200meter square) should have at least 50% roof area to collect water. All new contruct building will be immediate enfore wil law.
I think I am better NEA minister. Please dont blame nature and face the problem .
