Lazio coach Vladimir Petkovic says his side will look to attack Tottenham in their Europa League opener on Thursday night.
The Biancocelesti have taken maximum points from their first three Serie A games and Petkovic is relishing the prospect of seeing how his side fare in European competition.
“For me it is important to play on an international level, because it can help the team to grow by facing a different reality. The difference in football can only be positive and seen as a learning experience," he explained in his pre-match press conference.
“We will respect our opponents, but try to seize the initiative so, we will neutralise Tottenham’s style of football by imposing our own tactics."
Spurs won their first Premier League game of the campaign on Sunday, with a 3-1 victory over Reading and Petkovic is well aware of their attacking prowess.
“Tottenham do not just have strength down the flanks, but also through the middle where they are very physical," he continued.
"They’re dangerous on set plays. Of course, playing wide is their main strength, but my players know that and will behave accordingly."
