Grew up with Lat's since my preteen days, when i had the Luxury of reading them via my uncLe who
was an avid coLLector of Lat's mags..
Looking back; save for those handfuL of them that stiLL resides in my sheLf, does any brother knows
where can i source for 2nd hand copies to buiLd up my mini coLLection ?..
Btw i have tried a coupLe of 2nd hand bookstores; but no Luck so far .Thanks aLL.:)

Thanks bro..anymore info Like if they are reruns and being soLd as new etcc..

I grew up on Kit Carson comics, Buck Jones, Lone Ranger and Tonto..those days the Red Injuns got whupped by the cowboys. These comics came in A3 size (I think, anyway smaller than A4), with large prints. They were rentable at street corners. I wonder where to buy those old collectibles. Trouble is, when the PAP came into power, a lot of things seemed to disappear rather quickly, besides political enemies.

Go Malaysia they still have in brand new & 2nd hand, i went there to try complete my collection of his early work series. Have you been to that old style kopitiam in KL with all the Lat cartoon drawings on the wall? Quite interesting.

i got a couple of Lat comic books that i brought in the early 90s. some stories he use malayu so have to see picture to guess the meaning.

comic an expensive hobby... i got too many comic books that i no longer had any space to shelf them. some old books are placed into carton and store in storeroom. every couple of years must take out to check for damages.

Nope never.Didn't know you are his fan too..so coincidentaL bro..;)
Main reason i got stuck with his cartoons was the simpLicity of his Line works; and somehow this chap seemed to be
ahead of his time in his depiction of what's happening in future through his works.:)

I like his books becos he mirrors the same.. from Kampung boy to City boy experiences that i have, when i read them i can relate to them & also his first overseas trips like the one where he goes to Japan & tried public bathing in those hot saunas, hilarious! :D I need to take mine out from storage & have a good laugh again.
