A U.S. court is probing whether the jury foreman concealed information about his background in a patent lawsuit between
Samsung and Apple in August.
The jury found the Korean electronics firm infringed Apple's design patents and ordered it to pay US$1.05 billion in compensation.
If the jury foreman is found guilty of misconduct, the jury verdict could be overturned.
IT news service CNET on Friday said Judge Lucy Koh of the Northern District Court of California wants to find out in a hearing
on Dec. 6 if foreman Velvin Hogan concealed his history of litigation.
In 1993 Hogan was embroiled in a lawsuit with his former employer Seagate, in which Samsung was a major shareholder.
