Whats the point this national day rally speech u gonna give tonight (17/08/08)? Singapore is not yet a independent country. Its not a nation. Most people here speak English to their kids even though 97 over percent here are Asian. So cut the crap. Singapore is still a colony of the West. People here give up their roots, their language their culture, majority of the population are Westerner wannabes. 'Thanx' to the PAP.
Let me repeat: In view of Spore belittlement to the Asian language and culture (Chinese, Malay, Tamil, etc), and over emphasis on a Western language (English) here, Singapore is still a colony of the West. Period. No need to give any national day rally speech, 'cause we are not yet a nation. We are just a colony of the Western countries.
