22 year old woman arrested for murdering her baby daughter, by deliberately locking the baby at home and then going away to marry another man and only coming back months later. The woman said she hated the baby girl because it reminded her of her ex-husband who left them. The baby girl died a terrible death of thirst and starvation.

What the 22 year old woman herself didn't know, was that DNA tests revealed the dead baby girl was the woman's little sister. This came as a shock to both the 22 year old woman and her 49 year old mother (who thought the murdered baby was her granddaughter not her own daughter). It turns out that the 2 babies were born around the same time and accidentally switched shortly after birth, unbeknownst to everyone involved. The other baby is missing, and police are still investigating.
