Knifeman injures 8 people in East China

A knife-wielding man injured eight people, including two policemen, on Saturday morning in Hangzhou of East China's Zhejiang Province, local authorities said.
The man surnamed Liu, 33, injured a neighbor with two knives and wounded five others on a street at about 8:30 am while running after other neighbors in Xiacheng District, according to a Hangzhou municipal public security bureau statement.
The injuries of the six victims were not life-threatening, according to the statement.
The topless man later ran into a nearby Walmart store and was captured by police at about 9 a.m., according to the statement.
Two policemen were bitten by Liu, it said.
Jobless Liu is a local from Nong'an County of northeast China's Jilin Province.
Further investigation is underway.
