SINGAPORE: A kindergarten teacher from a PAP Community Foundation Education Centre has been charged with ill-treating a five-year-old child under her care.
The court heard that the 25-year-old woman asked the girl to remove her clothes and stand naked in front of her classmates.
She also faced three other charges of using criminal force on the child.
The woman allegedly swung the girl against a white board, causing her to hurt her head.
She's also alleged to have pushed the child twice - one caused the child's forehead to hit a wooden shelf and another sent her falling onto a basket of toys.
The four incidents allegedly happened between July and August 2011.
The teacher cannot be named to protect the child's identity.
If found guilty of ill-treatment, the woman could be jailed four years and fined.
For using criminal force without provocation, she could be jailed three months and fined S$1,500 for each charge.
She will next appear in court on September 5.
