KFC Colonel Sanders' suit sold for $24k

THE president of Kentucky Fried Chicken Japan has purchased the trademark white suit worn by company founder 'Colonel' Harland Sanders.
The suit sold at auction for $US23,000 ($24,870).
Masao 'Charlie' Watanabe put on the suit and black string tie after placing the winning bid at the Heritage Auctions event in Dallas.
Mr Watanabe says statues of Colonel Sanders are in front of most KFC restaurants in Japan.
He plans to display the suit at a restaurant in Tokyo.
