Katy Perry left her audience feeling 'Hot 'n' Cold' after she suffered a major embarrassment during her performance at the NRJ music awards in Cannes on the weekend.
Perry, who won two awards at the event, was performing her mega hit 'Roar' for the crowd, but was caught out lip syncing when her lip movements were way out of time with her backing track.
To make matters more awkward (if that is even possible), the show's host appeared on stage, cued for the music to be cut, and asked Katy Perry to start her song over.
"Bonsoir, Katy Perry. If you don't mind, we can restart, what do you think? Because we had a little problem with the sound," he explained to a clearly uncomfortable Perry.

Katy looked more than a little uncomfortable when she was caught lip syncing at the NRJ music awards.
"I'm sorry to stop all your energy…but I prefer you to be the best," he adds, before counting down for Katy to restart the song.
This isn’t the only shaky performance for the 'Dark Horse' singer this week, who was also criticized for her bad vocals during X Factor UK's grand finale on Sunday.
Although she stunned in an extravagant gold bird outfit, Perry failed to impress the audience with her rendition of 'Unconditionally', with viewers taking to Twitter to voice their opinions.
"What number do we call to vote Katy Perry off?" asked @Pundamentalism.
"Katy Perry without her trusty autotune sounds like a cat screaming..." said another.
Irish singer, and former Westlife member, Brian McFadden also weighed in, tweeting "I love Katy Kerry but her live vocals are always poor. Great record though."
