Cotton Chan lied through his teeth to say that he would never ever allow the PA to be politicised.
We assume he knows the meaning of the word correctly. Like lots of other ministers, when oppos
bring up a topic they don't like, they are politicising. When the PAP brings up, it is because they
always do the right thing.

Or does he need VB to speak up on his behalf?

PA is not politicized for PAP. When we do grassroots work, we do not allow PAP logos or flags to be flown. Grassroots volunteers and grassroots advisers are also not allowed to canvass votes for PAP during PA activities and charity works.

The PA was a satellite organization of the PAP from the very beginning.

Therefore, technically speaking, there is no need to 'politicize' the PA.

Don't hack at the branches, strike at the root.
