Just realised something that is a bit of an irony

With the Covid-19 virus the media is churning out dire warnings about the danger of the virus and are keeping a score card in real time. However there is no vaccine so there is nothing much people can do except cower in fear, anxiety and despair. Everyone is praying that a vaccine will be available ASAP.

With influenza the virus is deadly too but the media does not consider the subject to be newsworthy so the dangers are seldom highlighted and life carries on in the usual manner. As a result most don't bother getting vaccinated even though a vaccine is readily available and in many countries is FOC to all vulnerable individuals.

Humans are strange creatures.

That's because it's only a flu. Wuhan virus on the other hand was made to be like Ebola!

Flu can be recovered and immune to it. Just that the strain will mutate again
Covid on the other hand, is novel, which has baffled the world since its beginning and spread like wild fire.
The fear of the unknown is always frightening
