As a pioneer in Joo Chiat, I feel the highhandedness of depriving Jenn Jong of a better try at Joo Chiat by their most unevenhanded change of electoral boundary. This shows how desperate they are to hold Joo Chiat and by combining it to hold Marine Parade as they fared very dangerously last round.

However my disappointment is changed 180 deg thanks to the selfless stance of NSP and SDP. These will prove to be the heroes of 2015 GE. It now gives the opposition (I should try avoid just saying WP) a more than 50% chance to clinch the GRC. Those in Joo Chiat who are robbed of this chance must take revenge. It is more like a blessing in disguise that PAP manipulated something that backfires on them.

Just think of it PAP can live only in the past 50 years The current team is still passenger on a car driven by the first team But the current team of generals and scholars have failed us in MRT, LTA. Neptune Orient, MOM, and more The most failing of all is the PM did not keep his promise to listen to the people. He steamrollered the Population White Paper against the people expressed desires. Worst still the PWP caused immense hardships and suferings when many of our able PMETs lost their jobs. Also which country gives away their proud jewel of a banking centre to foreigners – just Look at Chang Point mall and surroundings. Only when it comes to election day, they change track and expect us to believe they are sincere but we can be lied to one time since the last time tears were shed and empty apology was made

Do not fall for it. Do not fall for fears of government change. We do not need govt change to change the PWP. We need 1/3 seats to be heard seriously. If we failed you can count on Singapore being taken over by foreigners.

You can see how winning GRC last time can get the pioneer package, consideration of CPF tweak. Imagine how much more if we get more GRCs and single seats. Work on it now. Work with others. Don’t work alone.

i do not share your sentiments. i think for FAP supporters they have more to think. they are voting for the next PM. so here lied the problem. who should they help. if you r CCS supporter or Paper general tan, you have to be decisive. esp if you r in the other's camp. giving high votes to FAP alone is not enough if you dont garder higher vote for your very next tix to more biz, more goodies piggyriding on the right person, becos if the exact opposite happen, your choice of minister to PM losses out on votes, your chances r gone.

so if you r CCS supporter and in his constituency, yes there is one choice.
but if you r paper general tan supporter and in CCS constituency, then you also have 2 choice, to spoil vote and pull down his % or go for the full mile and support the oppo and hope he gets kicked out for good

Help lau goh for early retirement

The 74-year-old ESM Goh Chok Tong has announced that he will contest in the upcoming General Elections (GE) at Marine Parade GRC.

Mr Goh has been contesting in Marine Parade since 1976. He has gone through 9 GEs altogether since then. It is believed that he has very good support from the residents in his own ward, and that may help to bolster the overall votes in Marine Parade GRC for People’ Action Party (PAP).

He already 74 years very old and recently recovered from cancer and needs for healthy rest.
Please vote him out.

Peanut Goh failed to use upgrading to get Hougang and Pontong Pasir back in earlier election, how can he help premier lee? Furthermore he was a second fiddler himself having to be mentored while being an ex premier. For goodness sake fade away lah. Way past retirement age some more want erection.
The best present the Marine Parade residents can give to Singapore is to sack this bloody old goat once and for all. Let him go back and count his money and see how much he can bring along when he travels to the next world.

He was in tears - emotionally moved when PM Lee asked him to stay on
and lead the PAP team to another victory.
Singapore needs elderly statesman and veterans to mould the younger team.

While GCT was PM, the PAP vote count increased with every election to a high of 75% of the valid votes in GE2001. While ESM Goh is no longer the PM for many years, he is still very much well-liked.

PAP will retain MP GRC. Possibility of PAP losing is zero.
