Not surprising. HKers have been arse-fucked by the Brits for 156 years - all their entrepreneurial wealth was extracted by Britain in exchange for a fake British subject passport that doesn't even give them right of abode in the UK. All the heads of civil service departments were white, the Commissioner of Police was white, even the Chief Justice (until 1988). All the big Hongs were British run. Zero self-governing rights for HK Chinese; only avenue was to do business and make money, or work in the civil service and hope to retire with a pension.
